The Christmas season is all about love and giving – and this year, our dedicated TRIO apprentices are setting a particularly bright example with the project “Wunschleuchte 2023”. In collaboration with the Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Möhnesee e.V., this heart-warming project was launched to give special joy to disadvantaged children and adolescents in four inpatient residential groups.
Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Möhnesee e.V. is committed to helping disadvantaged young people in the long term by providing optimal care in residential groups, promoting integration, and making the daily lives of children easier.
Preparations for “Wunschleuchte 2023” began in October, when our apprentices set up a floor lamp from the TRIO range in each residential group – the wish lights. The children and adolescents had the opportunity to write down their Christmas wishes on wish lists and attach them to the lights. After a few weeks, our trainees collected the 80 wish lists from the children and adolescents and set up the lights with their wishes in the company.
During the pre-Christmas period, our TRIO employees took the opportunity to fulfil wishes from the wish lights and thus make the children’s eyes light up. In total, 80 Christmas presents were collected and ceremoniously placed under the Christmas trees of the residential groups by two TRIO Christmas messengers on 13th of December.
We would like to say a big thank you to Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Möhnesee e.V. for their outstanding daily work. Our appeciation goes to the entire team, who work with with dedication for the well-being of children and young people. We would particularly like to emphasise our TRIO employees, who participated in the project in large numbers and thus helped to give young people an unforgettable smile at Christmas. Through such collaborative actions, we demonstrate that the festive season brings not only presents, but above all love and solidarity to people´s hearts.
